Our bike ride through Corvallis

Even though it was sleeting and raining, we had a great ride through Corvallis and into Phalomath.

Corvallis is the most bike friendly community around these parts.

The boy and the most loyal dog in the world.

Buckled in and ready to take off.

First signs of spring coming, finally.

Covering the precious cargo from the sleet and rain.

The sleet against Shelly's black bike pants.

It finally stopped sleeting and raining long enough for us to finish our ride.  The sun actually came out at one point during the ride back to the car as well.

Popping the Cork

Popping the cork on our Valentine's Day and Anniversary Champagne.  Skylar drank gingerale while we celebrated and drank up.  Shelly was afraid I was going to hit her in the eye with the cork, but I ended up hitting the wall thank goodness.

The Joy of the Boy

Shelly hates messes, so Skylar and I figured out a way to stay out of trouble.

Six years together and I love her more everyday

New Year's Day Bike Ride with the Family

Every New Year's, even when we rode bikes with Shelly's dad (Mike) and other friends in Arkansas, we have taking a bike ride. Sometimes we are out all day riding and it's just a great way to bring in the New Year and to help keep us on the right track as far as being healthy goes. Here is the 2009 New Year bike ride we took here in Lebanon, Oregon.

Papa Boodie

Shelly and I have always loved Cici's Pizza, but Papa Murphy's is a good contender. Cici's pizza is already cooked and Shelly loves their spinach pizza that they offer there. Papa Murphy's has the pizza made in front of you sort of like the line at Subway, you go down the line and watch them place the toppings on the pizza then they wrap it up and you take it home and cook it in your own home.

We have always had pizza night at our house, but last Thursday we came up with our own pizza idea. I call it Papa Boodie's pizza. Jiffy came out with a version of pizza crust and just by adding a bit of herbs to the crust mix and a bit of salt you can make your very own pizza in your home. Shelly makes a great pizza sauce, just by adding herbs to anything she brings out the best flavors. Here is my very own Papa Boodie's pizza making.

Reflections of my Past

Oh how the days have gone by........
